Rajasthan as a state that needs no introduction for any traveler and it should be in everyone's bucket list , this state is unique in its own way, each and every city in Rajasthan is culturally rich and its architecture is walk through history.
We had only three days in hand to explore the pink city , i had booked a beautiful rooms in Sundar Mahal , which was beyond my expectations.
As we just checked it , we still had a day and it was hot outside , hence we went to Albert Hall Museum, that housed beautiful idols ,paintings and History of rajasthan.
Important Tip: Rajasthan has a rich history and lots of museums, its better to visit Albert Hall as its the official and state musuem of Rajasthan, It also has Mummies of Egypt
After visiting and exploring the musuem , we hopped on for lunch , and visit the hawa mahal as well, So we decided to visit the Tattoo Cafe which gives the amazing view of the Hawa Mahal.
After Lunch we hopped on to Bapu Bazaar for shopping , here the shops are lined up with varieties of cloth shops and footwear shops, though the collection are huge but its expensive and we would need to negotiate a bit, visit this only if you have a good negotiation skills.
After Shopping , we were dead tired as traveled the same day , hence we called our day a bit early.
Starting our day 2 , with Patrika Gate, which was near to Airport and its quite a sight , as the entire building is covered with paintings and stories and way of living.
After visiting the Patrika Gate , we visited the most famous fort of Jaipur , The Amer Fort , Gigantic and the most beautiful fort of Jaipur, Just before we visit the Amer fort , we visited the Step well, Panna Meena Ka Kund , used by the villagers for domestic purpose during those days , its a beautiful view to see it from the top.
After a short visit to the step well , we went to the fort , the fort can either climbed or can go in car or hitch a ride with elephant( which i personally did not feel right).
Amer Fort or Amber Fort , has many places to visit within the fort , they have beautiful doors and walls painted with various natural coloured stories, they have Ganesh Pol , Sheesh Mahal , Gardens , secret corridors within the rooms, this fort really stands tall and is rightly the strongest fort of thos times.
In Amber fort , one can buy keychains , footwears and bags, to be frank its much cheaper than the markets.
Once we completed the Brief shopping, we visited Jal Mahal, though one can see this palace from far , it looks majestic , but it better during sunset and after dark with beautiful lighting
Jaipur is always known for Royalty , did you know that the queen and kings have separately Cremated, Yes its the fact , the kings and queens had a different Creamtion ground and they are build with memorials. Gaitore is a Cremation ground for the kings and they are a huge memorial and here pillars also depicts the favorite things of the king.
With this , we were too tired as humidity was too much for us to take , we decided to have lunch in a small eatery and head to City Palace , which is still the active palace of the Royal family , Hiring a guide would be a best idea as the information and history of jaipur is very interesting.
With the Visit of City palace , we headed to jantar Mantar , which is a very interesting place , and like mentioned before its better to always go with guide.
With this we wrapped our day 2 and called the day.
Day 3 , we went on a spiritual side , as we visited Birla Mandir which is a very beautifully constructed and then we walked towards Moti Dungri Ganeshji Temple , which is one of the most oldest and famous temple of jaipur , after taking the blessings we continued our journey to Govindji Temple.
With visiting three temples , we covered the best of the lot , the worlds biggest canon , Jaivan , in Jaigarh Fort,currently maintained by the indian army , this was only fired once.
Then next in our List was Nahargarh Fort , From which one can see the entire city of jaipur, Amber Fort and fort walls of Jaipur
With this we ended our jaipur trip by watching Hawa mahal during sunset from Tattoo cafe.
Jaipur is a city of memories , it brings out the best in you , its a culture in itself , be in food , be it buildings, be it its history, jaipur offers you everything which a traveller needs to explore.
