After a lot of planning and whether to go solo or not, I decided to go to Udaipur for my first solo trip.
I boarded the train(Chetak Express) at 8:10 PM from Gurgaon which dropped me at 8:00 AM in the morning at Udaipur City Railway Station. (Cost for Sleeper Class ticket- Around Rs.300-500)
I had booked Banjara Hostels for my 2 days stay in Udaipur and the stay was amazing( costed around Rs.900 including breakfast for 2 days for a 4-Bed Mixed Dorm). The rooms were clean, breakfast was nice and the view from the Rooftop was pretty at night.
After checking into the hostel, I got ready and went out. A friend of me joined too. We went to Jagdish Temple first which was very near to the hostel hardly 2 mins walk. The temple had intricate carvings on the wall. It was peaceful.
After visiting the Jagdish Temple, we went to visit the famous City Palace. The tickets for the museum cost around Rs.300 per person. Beautifully made with views of the whole city.
After visiting City Palace, we went out to visit Monsoon Palace(SajjanGarh Fort). It is located on hills. The ticket is around Rs.80 and if you donot have your vehicle, they will charge around Rs.90 to take you up to the fort in a Govt. Approved Car. The views from above are to die for.
After a lot of roaming here and there, I wanted to visit Fateh Sagar Lake in the evening. Did boating in the lake and the lake is a treat to the eyes.❤️ looks beautiful at sunset.
After boating, I came back to the hostel, had dinner and slept.
In the morning, after breakfast, I went to Gangaur Ghat for some peaceful time????
After visiting Gangaur ghat, i went Cafe Edelweiss which was located on the way. I had a cup of hot coffee along with a Chocolate cake slice which tasted heavenly.
Having a full stomach, I badly wanted to visit Badi Lake which was suggested by a friend to me. Its an artificial lake and is beautiful.
During sunset, I visited Gangaur Ghat again and managed to take a few pictures of the same.
At night, I boarded bus back to Gurgaon with a heart full of beautiful memories and experience of going solo. It was a completely different experience as I had to do everything on my own. Visited places alone and was so happy that it was an altogether different feeling.
Total cost of the trip was around Rs.5,500.
