Guru Shikhar is the highest peak of whole Aravalli range which is located in Mt.Abbu; a small hill station in Rajasthan state.
It is 15 km far from Mt Abbu.
On the way to Guru Shikhar from Mt Abu there is a local restaurant named “ Big Daddy Dhaba", you must try Aloo Pranthas there. After reaching the parking site of Guru Shikhar you have to climb 250-300 steps to reach the top. There are number of eateries on both side of steps and a temple dedicated to Guru Dattatreya at the top. That's why this point is so named. The top point gives a mesmerizing views of the clouds covering the valley. You can also go in the morning to see beautiful sunrise but that depends on the weather.
HOW TO REACH :
Book a train ticket to Abu Road. Then from Abu road take a state government bus to Mt. Abu ( 1 hour). From Mt. Abu you can hire a scooty (Rs700 for one day from 8AM to 8PM) or go in government tourism bus that goes to the all points in Mt. Abu.
