We planned a quick trip to Ranthambore, now that we have shifted to Jaipur. It was a journey of just 3.5 hours by road. The highway does not have many dhabas/ restaurants on the tonk toad route. So we recommend you to take the via lalsot route.
We surfed a few resorts online and decide to finalize them on the spot and wow! There is a hell lot of difference in the online vs offline rates of the resorts! We got a decent property with swimming pool at Raj Palace on the main road of ranthambore.

The day began with the jitters and excitement to see tiger! We had book a safari online in the afternoon slot, but what luck! The night before, we met a common friend who had connections with the forest dept guys. So we joined them for the morning safari . We left at 5 30 am, and reached the office of the forest dept guy. He arranged a gypsy n driver for us for the safari. Getting to see the tiger would be pure luck ! The driver took us inside the forest and was very keen to make the visit successful!
After about 20 minutes in the jungle, wo! There it was - The much awaited and eagerly being sought- TIGER ! He roared at us. And quietly moved to the backside. What luck! We were so happy & excited!
Hope you all get to see it in your visits too!
