*Honestly, before going to Pushkar I read a lot about cafes in the city and it’s food but our experience was really bad. Most of the cafes are shady, dingy and not worth eating at. But ofcourse you have easy access to all sorts of “stuff” incase that’s what you are looking for! We ended up eating at Radheyji Restaurant, they serve the best Rajasthani food ! Don’t forget to try their chana masala, gatte ki sabzi and malai puri. We also got food packets packed for our return journey from Radheyji restaurant and it was a great decision!

You can find trendy silver jewellery at very affordable prices in the by lanes of the city especially near Brahma temple. Another souvenir to take back home are the handmade paper diaries, you can find them with leather covers, pastel shades, quirky prints and a lot more. If you’re fond of prints then Pushkar has a wide range of fun apparels in traditional but quirky Rajasthani prints.

Being the hippie city of Rajasthan Pushkar is famous for its hostels, few of the good ones being @madpackers @moustachehostel @zostel . Since we were here for a luxury retreat we decided to stay at the @anantaresortandspa . Although the Westin Pushkar has much better reviews online, Ananta has a lush green setting, facilities-laden comfortable rooms, spotless services and a calming vibe. Our stay was smooth and beautiful so I highly recommend this property.
A visit at the Famous Brahma temple (the only one in India) to pay homage to your ancestors is a Must Must on your trip to Pushkar. You can chill at the ghats of the Brahma Sarovar admiring the beauty of the city or may be smoke some pot at some hippe café (if that’s your jam ). If you are the adventurous kind opt for the Dessert safari which is followed by bonfire with some Rajasthani food and Kalbeli dance.
* Precautions due to COVID: Sadly there were zero precautions taken at the hotel or anywhere in the city.
* Journey: You can reach Pushkar by train or car.
