Day 1

We reached Jaipur via train as its always wonderful to travel via train as its very comfortable you get to know interact with strangers and you get the advantage to carry as much luggage as you can 😜

We checked in our hotel Royal Orchid. Then we went for our brunch and came back to our hotel took a quick nap enjoyed the view from hotel and then left for our first destination that's HAWAL MAHAL what a legendary place it is.
Hawa Mahal  "The Palace of Winds" or "The Palace of Breeze") its such a magical place which stands in the middle of bazar.

Exploring this palace that’s crafted from red and pink sandstone is a must when you visit Jaipur. Located close to the City Palace, the Hawa Mahal is a marvelous sight. Explore the Zenana (women's chambers) to see some more of the gorgeous architecture.

To serve our tummies we went to cafe wind view which is just opposite to Hawa Mahal a perfect place to capture Hawal Mahal from the top. We captured so many amazing memories there with the historical Hawa Mahal.

Post that we went to Thali House for an amazing dinner it's near by Bus Stand in Jaipur. We had an amazing Rajasthani thali and what a perfect way to end our Day 1 in the Pink City 🌻

•We started our day early had a nice breakfast at the  Hotel Orchid what a splendid hotel it is best connectivity very nearby to bus stand.
•Post that we started our day 2 by exploring Bapu Bazar and bought some traditional local jaipuria stuffs "support local vendors".
• We went to City Palace after some bazar shopping.
*The City Palace, Jaipur was established at the same time as the city of Jaipur, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber, in 1727.
• Jaipur is the present-day capital of the state of Rajasthan, and until 1949 the City Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of the
Maharaja of Jaipur.
•City Palace is open for visitors from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Best time to visit is between October and March
•Apart from its magical architecture, the royal residence, and a museum, the city palace has lesser known but not less beautiful gates in its third courtyard.
• In the inner courtyard of City Palace, Pritam Niwas Chowk has four small gates known as Ridhi Sidhi Pol, which are elaborately decorated in brilliant colours.
•This courtyard is dominated by Chandra Mahal which is said to be the most charming courtyard in City Palace.
Each door has a different role to play and a story to tell. These gates are adorned with themes symbolising four seasons and are dedicated to a specific Hindu God & Goddess.
1.Lotus Gate– Beautified with lotus petals and stunning floral patterns representing summer season, Lotus gate is dedicated to Lord Shiv and his consort Parvati. Lotus gate surrounds the statue of God and a motif of sun. The beguiling colours and detailed lotus flower work all over the gate will leave you stunned.
2.Peacock gate-It is one of the most famous and admired gates of them all. This gate is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and symbolizes the autumn season. It is located on the North-East side of the courtyard. The carved peacocks surround the statue of God and are brilliantly decorated with colourful paintings.
3.Rose gate– The repeated petal pattern represents winter season and is dedicated to Goddess Devi. Rose gate, which is in the third number in the series of the four gates, is beautifully designed and painted with rose petals that also surround the statue of God and a motif of sun.
4.Lehariya Gate– The beautifully vivid green coloured gate or the green gate represents the green of spring season. This indicates the start of the spring and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Lehariya means waves, which was how it got it’s name. It also has a statue of Lord Ganesha surrounded by the motifs of waves.

*Jantar Mantar - The Jantar Mantar, Jaipur is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan.

•Jal Mahal, Jaipur: A Splendid Palace Nestled in the Middle of a Lake
•Set in the middle of the picturesque Man Sagar Lake, Jal Mahal (Water Palace) in Jaipur is a spectacular structure that seems to be floating on the lake’s surface.
• An architectural marvel in itself, it is an embodiment of the engineering prowess of the Rajput period.
•The palace, which was built as a hunting lodge for the Maharajas of Jaipur, has now become one of the prime tourist attractions in the city.
•The local market in the pavement is a best place to shop some amazing juttis and silver jewellery.

*Panna Menna - Stepwells are wells or ponds in which the water is reached by descending a set of steps to the water level.
• They may be multi-storeyed with a bullock turning a water wheel to raise the well water to the first or second floor.
•They are most common in western India and are also found in the other more arid regions of the Indian subcontinent, extending into Pakistan.
•The construction of stepwells is mainly utilitarian, though they may include embellishments of architectural significance, and be temple tanks.

*Amber is a town with an area of 4 square kilometres (1.5 sq mi) located 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.
• The town of Amber and the Amber Fort was built by Maharaja Man Singh kachawaha rajputs.
•Located high on a hill, it is the principal tourist attraction in Jaipur.
• Amber Fort is known for its artistic style elements. With its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks Maota Lake, which is the main source of water for the Amber Palace.
• Evening light show in amer is so mesmerizing and the entire fort is lite like a queen ❤️
* On our way back from Amer fort we enjoyed the night view of the city and we stopped at local shops to buy some blue potteries which is heart of the city
• On our way back to the city we went to Albert Museum although  it was closed as we surpassed the closing time but how beautifully it was lite and the view was so stunning to capture
•After exploring Jaipur in night we came back to our hotel and ended our beautiful day 2 in the Pink city 🌻

•Started my day early with a good swimming session in the Hotel Laxmi Palace. Must recommended hotel so homely and wonderful to stay at 🌻
•Started my exploration with Albert Museum.
•The Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur, is the oldest museum of the state and functions as the state museum of Rajasthan, India.
•The building is situated in Ram Niwas garden outside the city wall opposite New gate and is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. It is also called the Government Central Museum.

300 per person for Foreign Tourists
150 per person for Foreign Students
The above tickets are available only at the premises.

•Entry of all visitors is free on the following days:

•The Audio Guide is priced at Rs. 171/- for foreign visitors and Rs. 114/- for domestic visitors.

•Get an aphrodisiac feel of culture and heritage, all encompassed carefully at the Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur.
•Known for its sombre collection of artefacts and a history as rich as the state itself, the Albert Hall Museum holds to be a treat to yearning eyes.
• With absolutely stunning architecture and intricate design, this museum is the pride of Jaipur in every measure.
*We went to Galtaji is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage about 10 km away from Jaipur.
•The site consists of a series of temples built into a narrow crevice in the ring of hills that surrounds Jaipur.
•A natural spring emerges high on the hill and flows downward, filling a series of sacred kunds (water tanks) in which pilgrims bathe.
•Post COVID this place is closed for tourists to visit the temple from inside so it recommended not to visit the place now untill it's not completely open for visitors
•Sisodia Rani Garden is a royal garden built in the premises of the Sisodia Palace in Jaipur. As the name suggests, it was built in 1728 in the honour of the Queen of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II as a summer retreat.
•The step garden, although not too large in area, is considered to be a tranquil escape in the hot and arid region of Jaipur.
• The landscaped gardens occupy several cascading levels in front of the Sisodia Palace and have a central water fountain with channels running through.
• It does not take a lot of time to explore this attraction.
•So, tourists around Lal Dungri or those on their way to Agra can take a pit stop here.
*We went to Jaigarh Fort which is situated on the promontory called the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) of the Aravalli range; it overlooks the Amer Fort and the Maota Lake, near Amer in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
•The fort was built by Jai Singh II in 1726 to protect the Amer Fort and its palace complex and was named after him.
•The cannon foundry Jaigarh Fort had a massive wind tunnel that sucked air from the high mountains into its furnace creating temperatures as high as 2,400 °F (1,320 °C), the heated air would melt the metal.
•The molten metal would fill a reservoir chamber and pass into a cannon mold in the casting pit. Most of those cannons were massive, mostly 16 ft long and had to be prepared within a single day.
•The cannon was fired only once with a charge of 100 kilograms (220 lb) of gunpowder and when fired covered a distance of about 35 kilometres (22 mi).
•Nahargarh Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
•Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh once formed a strong defence ring for the city.
•The fort was originally named Sudershangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means 'abode of tigers'.
•The popular belief is that Nahar here stands for Nahar Singh Bhomia, whose spirit haunted the place and obstructed construction of the fort.
• Nahar's spirit was pacified by building a temple in his memory within the fort, which thus became known by his name.
• Stay there to view the mesmerizing sunset and the city is lite in such a splendid way.
•The view is so breathtaking that you just can't take your eyes of the beautiful city of the Pink city ❣️
•Our hotel had a folk dance arranged for all guests it was such a fun night danced a lot with my brother the best trip we had together 💜
•Ended our wonderful trip with so many memories and amazing stories that I was able to unfold through this wonderful journey 🌼 Untill next time   do visit Jaipur to enjoy the perfect blend of culture and history 🌹
