Rajasthan -the land of the rajas or kings have always fascinated me and i have dreamt to visit this royal historical place for a long time. This October i i finally landed in Jaipur early in the morning with full enthusiasm of exploring this beautiful city .
Day 1 -
10.30 am -quick breakfast
11 am - .First stop -albert hall museum
I am not much of a museum person but still i decided to go here. The top floor is not accessible to public and the entrance ticket is valid for 2 days. As luck would have it some school visit was scheduled that day and the entire place was filled with kids. Due to this , there was lots of noise ,chaos and i didn't enjoy the experience that much. There is a lot to see here and you can easily spend an hour here.

This is one of main attractions of Jaipur and you can't miss this. It's huge and we spent nearly 2 hours exploring it's every corner. One of the must visit places is the seesha mahal (place of mirrors) and there is a separate ticket for that. Every nook & corner is suitable for photoshoot.

3. Jaigarh fort
This place is known for having world's largest cannon on wheels and i love exploring old forts so this was next on my list. The place is less crowded than the previous two spots. The view from the top through the tiny fort windows is just spectacular. I stood there watching parrots and enjoying the cool breeze in solitude. Frankly, i didn't find the cannon anything extraordinary and this was the spot where you can find other tourists. I liked the other secluded parts of the fort more & spent an hour here.

4.Nahargarh Fort
This is the best place to witness the sunset/sunrise in this city. The fort is full of my best friends (monkeys) so you have to careful with your belongings .The entire city is visible from the top of it & i spent nearly 1.5 hours just sitting & enjoying the beautiful

5. Jal Mahal
This palace is located in located in middle of Man sarovar lake & sadly though previously boat services were available now it's closed. You can only watch it from a distance & also the lake isn't maintained well.

6. Hawa Mahal
One of the most iconic places of this city. This is located in the city centre and is surrounded by Johri bazar & bapu bazar -the two main markets of the city. The best place to watch it is from the tattoo cafe opposite to it especially after sunset. The whole palace is lit up after 6 in the evening & watching it from the rooftop cafe makes it a fulflling experience.
After roaming so much i was too tired so i decided to call it a day & thus day 1 of our exploration came to an end.

Day 2 -
On first day i had covered all major places & today was going to be more relaxed and chill .
1.patrikha gate
9th gate of jaipur and this place is near to the airport. It has no entrance fee & has a garden and a monument. Mainly famous as a photoshoot location.

2. City palace
This is another major place of jaipur and this is close to jantar mantar (of jaipur). The palace is huge and we spent nearly an hour or so here. The place is full ofautodrivers who will force you to go to
market (where they get comission). I was also made to go here buy didnt buy anythinga s everything is overpriced. I spent a good 2 hours exploring the palace and got really tired.

We decided to skip jantar mantar & instead fill our tummy with some late lunch (4.30 pm). Post lunch i went back to my place of stay to rest for a while as that night i had a bus to udaipur. With this my second day here came to a conclusion but i wasn't yet done with the city & was back on Sunday to explore some more.
Day 3-
1. Gatore ki chatriyan
This is a place full of tombs of dead kings.the place is huge and it's ideal for pre wedding shoots. This place is not a very popular spot for tourists but after looking at these pictures I'm sure most of you would love to visit it once.
The entrance fee is a mere 20 bucks and i spent nearly an hour here sitting & clicking pictures.

2. Ramgarh lake
This is around 30 kms outside of jaipur and we booked a car to enjoy a long drive till here. We were really excited to see the lake & dam but to my dissapointment all had dried up and all i found was monkeys! Luckily there was an old monument which was once used for hydro electric power generation and as expected i was the only tourist here. Sitting here in solitude gave me afternoon bliss.

After spending around 40 mins here we decided to go back to the main jaipur city. I had plans to do some shopping from local markets and what i was in for some very bad news. The driver informed me all local major markets are closed on Sunday in jaipur(govt rules) that i wasn't aware of. So he dropped to the pink square Mall where i didn't shop but enjoyed a quick lunch.
3. Chowki dhani
The final stop for me before i ended my rajasthan trip was this cute little village kind of place where i decided to grab my dinner. I was little skeptical for spending so much for a veg dinner but once I entered i realised this place is worth every penny. They will give you traditional rajasthani veg food & it's best to go an empty stomach as they will keep feeding you till you are full. The food was just the beginning as the entire place has a lot to offer to tourists.there was magic shows, puppet shows, tradional dance shows going on inside. Infact if you are interested you can enjoy a camel or elephant ride too. I spent nearly 3 hours here but one thing to keep in mind is this place is open from 6-11pm only. You shouldn't miss this if you ever find yourself in jaipur.

After having such a heavy feel & roaming all day long i was feeling too exhausted and decided to nap for some time before i reached the airport to board my early morning flight back to home. Time just flew by here and i promised myself to be back in Rajasthan soon to explore other parts of it soon in the future. This place has so much to offer that i will highly recommend all of you to come & experience it once for yourself.
