On the second day of my stay in Jaipur I visited following places -
1) Jal Mahal ( Free entry)
2) Bihari ji temple (Free entry)
3) Jagat Shiromani Temple ( Free entry)
4) Panna Meena ka Kund ( Free entry)
5) Amer fort (₹100/- entry fee)
6) Jaigarh Fort (₹50/- entry fee)
7 Nahargarh Fort (₹100/- entry fee)
In the early morning around 7am I took a auto ride to Jal mahal. The reason it has this name - It's built in red sandstone, is a five-storied building, of which four floors remain underwater when the lake is full and the top floor is exposed.
Took a auto ride from Jal Mahal to Jagat Shiromani Temple. It takes around 18-20 min to reach here. This temple has a marvelous architecture and is also said to have the same idol of Krishna that Meera Bai worshipped. From here Bihari Ji temple and Panna Meena kund are on a walking distance.
Amer fort consists of the Diwan-e-Aam, or "Hall of Public Audience", the Diwan-e-Khas, or "Hall of Private Audience", the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas where a cool climate is artificially created by winds that blow over a water cascade. Jaigarh fort is also nearby this one around 5-6 kms. Visit these two forts before 5 pm as they get closed after that.
Now head to the best location to view sunset in Jaipur i.e Nahargarh Fort. One of the best sunsets and citylights I have viewed until now😍.
Following places I covered on Day 3 -
1) Patrika Gate ( Free entry)
2) Birla Mandir ( Free entry)
3)City Palace ₹200/-
Best time to visit :
Patrika gate: Reach at 7 am. You will find less crowd. Usually it is completely occupied for wedding photoshoots. So if u wanna get some good pictures clicked reach by 7 am.
Birla Mandir : Remains open between 8am -12pm & 4pm - 9pm.
City palace: Visit before 5pm
The best rooms in City palace are Shobha Niwas Chavi Niwas and Rang Mandir😍
Patrika Gate has been built as a unique memorial showcasing the architectural and cultural heritage of all the regions of Rajasthan. It integrates art, craft & culture heritage of the state.
