How to Reach Jaisalmer from Delhi

Delhi to Jaisalmer distance is: 770 kms around – It will take around 16 hrs you to reach there.

Delhi to Jaisalmer Flight: Delhi to Jodhpur Flight (1:20 hrs) – Jodhpur to Jaisalmer by Car (280 Kms around) – It will take around 8-9 hours you to reach there.

So if you are coming via your car or taxi so you can directly come here from Delhi or if you want to stay in the middle so Bikaner will be the best place to stay one night. You can also enjoy the Bikaner Food here which is world famous food.

How I reached:

Delhi to Bikaner distance – 440kms around then we took a small break of around 2-3 hours here then we again started our journey to Jaisalmer.

Bikaner to Jaisalmer distance – 280kms around

If you are coming to Jaisalmer so I will suggest you to stay one night in Bikaner so that you can enjoy Bikaner also.

Cost to reach Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: (By Car) Taxi or Private Car

Private Car Price Delhi to Jaisalmer: It will cost you around 15000 INR to 16000 INR from Delhi to Jaisalmer

Taxi Price from Delhi to Jaisalmer: It will cost you around 30000 INR - 35000 from Delhi to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

My Experience:

It was a great experience. In this video you can see that the roads of Jaisalmer are like very good. I would say the drive is little hectic because it will take around 16 hrs to reach Jaisalmer from Delhi. But the experience was good. We were 12 people in 3 cars and we really had a lot of fun in the way to Jaisalmer from Delhi. We saw changing different cultures and Rajasthan was really a new experience for me.

Though, I covered too many places but still a lot more to see in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Best Time to visit:

I visited this place in January’22 hence it was not hot there and I will recommend to visit in winter season so that you can enjoy the beauty of Jaisalmer and Rajasthan.

About Jaisalmer, Rajasthan:

Jaisalmer nicknamed "The Golden city", is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, situated 575 kilometres (357 mi) west of the state resources Jaipur.
