If the thought travelling by trains makes you jump with joy, this news might blow the roof off of your head! The Ministry of Railways has launched a new train through Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) known as the 'Majestic Tourist Train'. The train is equipped with avant-garde amenities like a mini library, shower cubicles and much more, redefining luxury altogether.
This train offers two tour packages for tourists and travels across destinations in Rajasthan. The first package includes destinations in Rajasthan like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Mandawa. All-inclusive tours start at $210 per person/per night, which is roughly Rs 14,500. The train lasts for 5 days and 4 nights. This package, called the 'Majestic Rajasthan' has departure dates on November 25th, December 23th, January 20th, February 17th, March 23rd and April 9th.
The second tour package includes a trip to the destinations included in the first package along with Taj Mahal. This one is called 'Majestic Rajasthan with Taj Mahal' and its departure dates are September 30th, October 14th, December 9th, January 6th, February 3rd and March 9th.

Additional features that make this train drool-worthy are safety lockers for all guests, separate sitting area in second AC compartments, 2 restaurants, 1 kitchen, hot and cold running water in bathrooms and washrooms. The train even has separate shower cubicles.
The first AC compartments reflect the most lavish section of the train with four sharing compartments and bunk beds. Lockable sliding doors are provided in each compartment for privacy. One electronic safety locker is available per compartment for the guests.
First AC coupe has double sharing compartments with one bunk bed. Just like first AC, each of the coupe’s compartments has a sliding door and one electronic safety locker for each guest.
Second AC coaches have mostly similar features as that in First AC except that there are no doors. There are two bunk beds for every four berth section. A separate sitting area is available in each second AC coach.
One of the second AC coaches has a mini library. Foot massagers are also installed on the train to let the guests unwind.
There are two restaurants on board that can cater to 64 guests at once. There are Indian as well as international dishes in the menu to choose from and the menus are available for structuring as per the tastes of the guests for group tours.
Every coach will have two toilets, one at each end of the coach. The toilets comprise of the latest vacuum-based technology. Furthermore, every coach is provided with two shower cubicles, one at each end of the coach. There is running hot and cold water supply in the shower cubicles.
