City Palace was built between  1729 and 1732 initally started by Sawai Jai Singh || the ruler of Amber. This palace includes Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal and other buildings in the complex. It was the seat of the the Maharaja of Jaipur ,the head of the Kachwaha Rajput clan. The Chandra Mahal has a museum now  and some part of still a royal residence whose entrance costs around 3000 rupees so it's your choice as the entry fee is also around 100 for student and 150 for Indians and for foreigners around 400 .
This palace lies in the heart of Jaipur city .
There is a " Seesh Mahal" where photography is not allowed but it's the best .
