Albert hall

Albert hall museum is the oldest museum of the state and it also known as government central museum. The building is situated in ram niwas garden outside the city wall. Every part of the museum emulates a glimpse of a time when machines were not used to carve the most gorgeous designs. The building of Albert hall museum was built in 1876 as a concert hall after independent it was used as town hall in 1880 but later, the hall was used for displaying masterpieces of local artisans. The museum gets its name from the Victoria and Albert museum of London, because of similar architectures. There are 16 different galleries of metal art, arms and Armor, pottery, sculptures, miniature paintings, clay works, marble art, international art, jewelry, ivory, woodwork and furniture, coins, musical instruments, garments and carpets inside the museum.

The patrika gate is a famous monument and tourist attraction located 30-minutes outside of the city centre. The colourful gate of India is an entrance of jawahar circle garden just like seven other gates in palace. The circular park is biggest in Asia which mainly use as traffic signal. Patrika gate give a glimpse of the culture of Rajasthan, each pillar is dedicated with entire history of Jaipur like hand paintings of temples, forts, palaces, portraits of Jaipur rulers, blue pottery, jewellery, photographs of amer, hawa mahal, city palace, jal mahal are found here too. The vibrant colours and the classic windows constructed in creative angles of arches gives the gate authentic look.

Last January I had visited Jaipur, Rajasthan during kite festival (makarshakranti). Jaipur is well known for pink city. In Jaipur two cities apart from each other pink city and metro city. Here I am sharing my 3 days itinerary to explore Jaipur.

Patrika gate

Sharing some tips:

1. Take your student id card (Make Fake if you don’t have) it will help to lower the cost to visit all this places even you can buy tickets combo ticket at discounted rates .

2. Travel in public transport to travel amber fort and patrikagatge. Taxi will charge a lot for outskirt to Jaipur.

3. Stay near city palace or in pink city so you can minimize transportation cost and get awesome food nearby. Most preferable is zostel.

4. Beware of monkey in galtaji temple they usually take your gadgets.
