Located at a distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur, Amer Fort is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Rajasthan.
Here's a small visual journey of my experience in this beautiful fort in the heart of Rajasthan.
If you reach the fort early in the morning you can opt for an elephant ride on your way up to the main courtyard.
The main courtyard offers a mesmerizing view of the hills and village surrounding the fort.
These elephants are decorated and offer a royal feel to the palace. Most of these elephants live in a nearby village called "Haathi Gaon"
This place is full of street vendors and you can easily buy some of the most beautiful authentic rajasthani artwork from here.
Beautiful Rajasthani architecture in the courtyard.
The fort is surrounded by a variety of architectural structures. In the backdrop of this photo you can see the wall of the fort moving along the mountain.
I took this shot near the entry point with the main fort in the backdrop.
Here's a portrait of the guide we hired while exploring the fort.
