After school break of my son, i was looking for a beach, as my son wanted to have fun on some beach after hectic exam schedule. I always prefer quiet and peaceful place for vacations rather a happening one. Somebody suggested me diveagar beach. I already visited alibaug and kashid beach nearby, so it looked me appealing to explore this new place. I convinced my family for this two day sat-sunday trip on 14th and 15th march, 2020. I also convinced my friend to come along with his family. So we were 4 adults and two children ready to start in my duster.
As i am living in thane area, the distance was approximately 160 km, but the tentative time to reach diveagar was around 4 and half hours due to average road conditions. We started at 7.30 am from my home and picked up my friend from khargahr navi mumbai at 8.00 am and started towards diveagar beach.
First half an hour journey was quite good towards mumbai pune expressway. Then we took Khopoli exit and then the road was not so good and we could maintain speed of 30-40 km per hour hardly. From there to till diveagar road was under construction. Where the road was constructed, it was quite nice to drive and where construction was in progress, it was really difficult to drive.
We took breakfast at approx. 10.00 am near Pali at Aswad restaurant. Restaurant was empty, we took poha, upma, vada pav and bread omlette in brealfast. Breakfast was tasty and we gone for it heavily as we all are hungry from morning.
After a break of 20-25 minutes, we started again and reached diveagar at 1315 hrs. The road was somewhere good, somewhere bad, somewhere congested between villages but overall not too bad.
We reached our hotel Beach Symphony Resort and checked in on Saturday 13th mar 2020 afternoon at 1315. Hotel was good in budget, as we got it in 2500 only. There was only six cottage type rooms. Rooms are spacious, but lacking luxuries like bathtub, tea kettles, wifi etc. We took rest for an hour and asked hotel staff for lunch. He told that hotel restaurant is closed and we had to go out for lunch.
While returning next day on Sunday, we visited srivardhan beach which was just 40 minutes from diveagar beach. Srivardhan beach was too beautiful and peaceful.
Overall diveagar beach is a great place for nature lovers who look for peace and quiet place far from busy life of Mumbai and pune. Nice view of sunset attracts a lot to everyone
