Pune or once known as Poona, considered to be 'most liveable city' or 'happiest city' in India for some good reasons. Balanced lifestyle, green surroundings, less traffic compared to other Metro cities, much more!!

Though like any city, there are plethora of 'things-to-see' but really not every single place is worth the hype once you go there. And that feels bad! Here are some pleasant spots, for making memories if you happen to visit here, some in and around destinations to visit for food, shopping, fresh air and smooth drives which you will not regret. 😀

Best season to be here is Monsoon.

3 days of fun & travel below..

Let's talk City centre first...

For peaceful strolling & cafes

Osho Garden

As the name suggests, yes this area especially is dedicated to Osho and has the renowned Osho Center too if you would like to try but it requires pre-approval and certain formalities beforehand.

You can take a walk or cycle around in Koregaon Park,  munch at some of the best cafes in Pune, to name a few 108Cafe, German Bakery, Cafe Peter etc. It also has classic pub franchises to sip some drinks and relish good food & some local eateries in bylanes to try out Pune's very own popular snacks.

Great shopping spot for clothing & accessories, winter wear and best food-joints are here.

Must try is Wadeshwar for South Indian snacks, Hotel Vaishali for a full Thali meal and many other local joints around to try Pune's famous Misal dish or Maharashtrian Thali.

Few other popular shopping markets- Tulsibaug for household and antique stores,  ABC chowk for Book lovers.

Go here for old city vibes and popular Parsi food joints + some shopping, there is so much to do here!

Famous snacks and food places to try are vintage Parsi cafe Marzorin & Restaurant Dorabjees, open air or rooftop lounge if you want are around too, try on a pleasant day.
The streets are lively with vendors offering clothing, accessories, dreamcatchers and the list goes on.

This one is the most fine and well maintained garden with unique style to visit around MH. Early hours recommended to soak in the garden vibes.

2. Museums/Fort

I am not a fan of these but there are a few one can visit those interested in history.

Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum and Lal Mahal recommended.
Sinhagad Fort with a simple trek but amazing views to catch there esp sunsets.
They are all within same vicinity but you may want to keep trek for 1 day and museum for another.

My favorite so far in Pune - Drive away!!!

Personal and highly recommended a visit around Pune, 60-100 kms Drive  on a wonderful scenic road journey to and fro!

Trust me you will be in awe of the long stretch of Pawna lake and dam with camping and activities like boating and even Kayak!
Suggested place for above at Lohagad Boat club.

There are many luxury places around too for overnight stays or you can spend the night by the lake in your tent.
Baso- Lakefront luxury stay
Moonstone Hammock - Tent Stay
(You can google Pawna camping and choose site as per your preference as amenities, packages differ)

Waterfall & valley views throughout the road on this route.

Nature, mountains, mini and large waterfalls, warm food on the way and blissful village views, a complete day out to come back rejuvenated. It does take 3 hrs of drive one way but you will not even feel a bit bored if you are here in the right weather which is rains.
