Imagine boating through greenery in pristine waters sighting birds and few animals, yes Pichavaram with its meandering mangroves is the place to be. We were definitely spellbound by the boatride through this lesser known mangrove forest.
This is definitely a must visit if visiting Pondicherry which is just 80 kms aways from here. Definitely will be an experience to remember for a lifeltime.
There are speed boats and row boats which take you inside the mangroves.
Boating here starts at 8am and goes on till 5 pm.
This is a half day trip from Pondicherry and definitely a must visit I would say.
