Day 1

I’m sure every travel enthusiast will have Andaman as one of the items in the bucket list. I must say, it should be!!White beaches with sparkling crystal blue waters and clear skies, amazing wildlife and majestic coconut trees; this place is a perfect vacation gateway one could ever imagine.

Caution: hardly you will get any network connectivity there only BSNL works that too occasionally, even the resort Wi-Fi don’t work,so be prepared.

I took a Indigo flight from Chennai to Port Blair, it’s a two and a half hour journey. Recommend to take a window seat coz you don’t wanna miss the amazingly beautiful view of this archipelago. I landed at Port Blair around 11:30am. So the only way of commute along the islands is via ferries. You can prebook them online. I went in off season so I booked it after reaching there but will recommend to pre book in online since there are only limited options available. I took 1:00 pm SeaLink ferry from Port Blair to Havelock. If it’s ur first time in sea like me I must tell u it’s an amazing feeling travelling through the ocean. I reached Havelock in 2 hrs. Cabs are easily available once you get out of the port. I checked in my resort: Symphony Palm beach resort, it’s an amazing property. After making myself comfortable the first thing I could do was to head towards the beach. I must say, I have seen many beaches but this place leaves you awestruck. It makes you forget everything and all you could do is absorb the beauty.

Day 2

I had already booked a cab. It costed me INR 1600 for 2 days. You can also opt for 2 wheelers, they are available for INR 500 for 24 hrs. I chose cab since it was raining.

Early morning the next day I decided to go for scuba diving. It’s available from 6 in the morning to 1 in noon. It cost around INR 2500 to 3000. Since it was raining the next morning I went for scuba around 10:30 pm. The world is beautiful under the waters and you must experience it. They train you for 15 mins and then take you and each person is given a dedicated trainer, who guides you throughout.

After collecting all the pics and videos I headed back to the hotel. “ will share the scuba videos separately”.Later in the noon around 3:00 pm I headed to Radha nagar beach. It’s a 15-20 mins ride to the beach. This place has well organised changing rooms and bathrooms. Recommend to take a pair of cloths since you won’t be able to resist getting into the water and playing with the waves. After 2 hrs of soaking myself into the majestic ocean I decided to return. You could also find small small stalls at the entrance with ridiculously delicious samosas and bhel puri. After my return to the resort I decided to spend the day relaxing at the property.

Day 3

Next day I had high hopes of visiting the Elephant Beach, but the weather didn’t favour so the only place on the list for the day was Kala Pathar beach. Left the resort around 11:00 am it’s a 20 mins ride to the beach. The view is picturesque. Here there are not much of arrangements. This beach has a long stretch of white sand with black rocks and dense forest by the shoreline. It has changing rooms and bathrooms but no water. You can also find some shops that offer coconut water, Maggie and other snacks. There are even some shops where you can get showpieces and gift items made out of shells.

Day 4

It’s the day to head to Port Blair. I had a Indigo flight at 3:50 pm from Port Blair. I booked a Makruzz ferry this time from Havelock to Port Blair. The scheduled departure of the ferry was at 9:00 am. I reached Port Blair around 11:00 am. Since I had a lot of time before I could catch my flight I decided to explore the some of the major attractions at Port Blair. I got a cab outside the port itself. It charged me INR 250 for each stop. First I went to the majestic Cellular Jail. This place is magnificent. I amazes you with the kind of history it holds. They even offer guides who help you know about the place and it’s history. I chose to explore the place by my own. After Cellular Jail I went to explore the market. My favourite part.!!! You can find various unique showpieces made out of shell, I bought one. Then I headed to the Veer Savarkar International Airport and flew back to Chennai..!
