Been many times to Pokhara but did the random trip and this was a special for me even though spent two nights. The first plan was to go to Pokhara by bus but later we changed and decided to fly. Arrived at Pokhara airport, the sunlight was very bright with the temperature approximately 34 degrees. Mini taxi was seemed outside and the price bargain starts here. The words and techniques play a vital role if you show them your habitual action for many time visit to Pokhara and you will be able to get a good deal to hire the Taxi and we did the same things. The drive was quiet talkative as he told us his whole life story which was really interesting and had an another deal during our conversation so he could pick up us next day and drop to Pokhara city.
If you are in a rush or short period of time and want to explore the most of the attractions then I would suggest you hire a motorbike for a whole day the one I did.
You can't imagine the view standing next to Begnas Lake and the Himalayas shadows floating into the Lake which swirls with the blow of wind and helps your eyes to stretches as long you can. The most exciting when you are on a boat and paddle yourself through the middle or the corner of the lake viewing greenery and the amazing shining the Himalayas feels they are sitting next to you.
We enjoyed our stay at Begnas Lake Resort, having a low season there were not much flow of tourists. Then next morning we headed to Pokhara city where our dealer taxi driver was waiting for us to Pokhara city. We did not choose any hotel to stay and looked randomly few, but here you go again the driver suggests us to his preferred hotel and we accepted as we did not want to explore more as it was hot, and we are at hotel Green Tara now. The owner was really cool and decided to stay here, later on, while our conversation continues we are surprised as he knows our hotel (Bardia Jungle Cottage) at Bardia which added extra flavor in our meetings.
Similarly another attraction Fewa Lake is located in the south of Pokhara city and is the second largest lake in Pokhara from where if the weather in love with you will allow you to view spectacular Machhapuchre Himal and north shore has developed as a tourist attraction and known as Lake Side where basically most hotels and restaurants are set up. While you are on a boat, you can see the most important religious monuments of Pokhara called Tal Barahi Temple, a Hindu God Vishnu with two stories pagoda style.
After our visit to Lakes, we moved to Mahendra Gufa, We call Gufa for Cave ( Mahendra Gufa). Mahendra Gufa is another main attraction of Pokhara city where God Shiva statue can be found. The Gufa is a long large limestone cave with darkness canal and artificial lights have been installed inside.
Then We headed to International Mountain Museum and world peace Pagoda and Pema Ts'al Sakya Monastic Institute!
