Chennai /ˈtʃɛnnaɪ/ (also known as Madras /məˈdraːs/) is the capital city of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Located on the Coromandel Coast off the Bay of Bengal, it is the biggest industrial and commercial center in South India, and a major cultural, economic and educational centre. Chennai is known as the 'Detroit of India' for its automobile industry. Best Time To Visit Chennai

Peak Season: Winters (November to February) are the best time to visit Chennai. The temperature during these months fluctuate between 20 to 25 degrees celsius, making the city perfect for sightseeing. Also, tourists can engage in the festive revelry during January when Pongal is celebrated across the city with much enthusiasm.
