Pichavaram is a huge mangrove forest located 16KMS from Chidambaram.
i was told the area was some 3000 acres. In tamil they refer the place as 'surabunnai kaadugal'. The mangrove forest gives a favourable environment for sustenance of sharks (!!). Anyways, a great get away place for nature lovers. safe, economic and exciting trip one should not miss while in Tamilnadu.
