Well the most important step was choosing the right accommodation. What wanted was optimum comfort as well as a luxurious stay. That when I decided to choose a private Villa from Live Phuket. My partner and me both decided that we would choose a Villa on the Kamala beach. We choose a pool villa Shenling Villa 1 at Kamala, Phuket. In simple words, the services offered by Live Phuket was simply mind blowing. This villas was sheer combination of privacy and comfort. We got complete complete peace and seclusion there. We got transferred to Villa upon arriving in Phuket on Thursday. We decided to spend that day at leisure on our villa spending quality time with each other. I am extremely grateful to the professionals at Live Phuket for their generous services. After a complete day and night rest, we decided to explore Phuket. After an sumptuous lunch at the Villa, our tour began
After the romantic afternoon, it was time for Nirvana. We went to the top of Mount Nagakerd where there was a big white jade marble statue of Buddha is being completed. This statue is nearly 147 foot tall and the way to the statue from the Chalong town are covered with red- and-white signs to give direction. In local language, this statue is called Phra Phuttha Mingmongkol-akenagakhiri Buddha. This place certainly provides a splendid view of the andaman sea below from such a height.
We wanted to avoid the crowd of the beaches. So decided to pay a visit to the inland town of Phuket. We decided to visit the night food court of Ong Sim Phai Road. This place was bursting will portable stall and carts along with several arrangements of plastic chair and tables arranged on the street for the visitors to sit. This place offers authentic Thai and Chinese dishes including mouthwatering foods like coconut curry, spicy papaya salad, grilled fish balls, barbecued pork buns. Lastly for dessert, you can taste the authentic dish of Thailand. You must pretty confused as to where to eat. Well we followed a simple trick that was opted for the stall which had longest line of waiting visitors. Trust me, the food was superb and certainly cost effective with just 190 baht.
Late at night, it was time for us to get the feel of Thailand’s national sport. This ancient martial art of muay Thai is known to be a brutal sport where fighters are seen to hit each other with their fists, elbows and feet. The ideal place to catch up such as fight is Suwit Stadium located on 15 Moo 1, Chaofa Road; 66-76-374-313. Friday night brings in the flavour of prefight ceremonial dances which proves that there is much more than violent entertainment. Visit this place at around 9.30 in the night to get the real feel of the fight. This stadium also offers podium for gym as well as training camps. The fight ticket includes free transportation to as well as from the stadium.
Bang Pae Safari was certainly the right way to start the tour. This safari offered us elephant tour trekking its way through the rubber trees and shallow streams. You can even get the opportunity to ride on the elephant’s head by switching places with the mahout’s spot. Next to that is the Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Sanctuary. There you can pay a visit to the non profit organization of Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. This organization works on providing the captured gibbons a natural habitat. These cute adorable apes will surely bring a smile to your face. You will also their acrobatic movement. We decided to take a cool plunge into the refreshing pool below the Bang Pae Waterfall few minutes into the rainforest.
The sun has gone up in the sky. It was time for us to put a pause for our lunch. We opted the latest restaurant of Mom Tri namely Mom Tri’s Boathouse Regatta who is an entrepreneur owning a chain of HOTELS and restaurant in Phuket. The food here is utterly delicious. I would recommend curried fried rice with seafood, cashews and pineapple costing 300 baht along with lobster ravioli with morel mushroom velouté priced at 500 baht
The village of Rawai situated on the southern tip of the island is an emerging hub for local artists. Here in the art galleries, you can witness the beautiful creation of artist Somrak Maneemai. The bohemian art colony of the island is certainly refreshing to one and all. The art village is a cluster of joining of several other small studios and galleries which are all worth paying a visit.
After the hectic day, we decided to choose a place where we can dine out in in peace. We choose the White Box Restaurant located at 245/7 Prabaramee Road offering an elegant interior with floor-to-ceiling windows with splendid terrace offering panoramic view of the ocean. The menu is a marvellous combination of both thai as well as Mediterranean flavors. The dinner cost approximately was 3000 baht. After dinner we decided to spend some leisure time on upstairs trendy open-air lounge. Here you can taste foods like made with vodka, galangal, spicy Tom Yum martinis, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaf and chili priced at 280 baht.
