Day 1

If you like adventure, if you die for walking roads less travelled, if you love challenging your own physical ability, if you love nature, if you like to see uncommon places in the vicinity of popular tourist destination with least google inputs, then, surely this knee knocking trail is going to be your next bait if you happen to visit West district of Sikkim. Popularly revered by the locals as a holy trek to Sirijona cave and Wadhan falls, it can be accessed from the lower Martam near Hee village. The flight of hundreds of steps plunging deep down to a awe inspiring waterfall amidst thick green outgrowth is surely a paradise even for the athiests. Nestled in the jungle in an uninhabited corner of huge rock wall, the waterfall is cocooned in the thick vegitation till the last turn of the flight of steps. It is said that Buddhist Guru Sirijunga's teachings were preserved for long in this place. (statutory warning: those having knee or heart ailments dare not undertake this trail as your knee is bound to knock and you ought to go out of breath in this journey).
