Your trip to Haridwar is incomplete if you haven't been to Ganga Aarti. It is one of the main attractions in Haridwar with over 3000 people gathered every day to witness the Holy call to "mother Ganga". The Aarti is done by pandits at Har ki Pauri, twice every day. The holy call (Ganga Aarti) is a way to thank river Ganga to protect us from evil by purifying our souls with its holy water.

Thousands of people visit Haridwar every day just to be a part of such a fascinating experience. The Aarti is more like a celebration, a celebration of sound and light with lots of emotions, prayers and hope floating through the river with lighted diyas. It is almost difficult, to sum up, the beauty of Ganga Aarti in words. If you are looking for an escape from the harsh realities of the world, being a part of Ganga Aarti is a must.
