Lansdowne, a cantonment town in Pauri, Garhwal(Uttrakhand).
The original name of this town was "kaludanda", later, it was found and renamed after the Viceroy of India.
It's one of the most beautiful & peaceful hill station in India. Apt for one day trip. Also, you can stay here if you want as Lansdowne owns multiple beautiful resorts & stays.
You have to pay tourism tax before entering Lansdowne ie INR 100 .

The most beautiful place you can visit here is "Tip & top", entry charges here are INR 20 per person.It is the highest place in Lansdowne, from where you can have a breathtaking view of the Shivalik range & complete sky line. Once you reach there, you couldn't be anywhere else as the whole view gives you the sense of being a free.
There are multiple gorgeous cafe's in Lansdowne but I love "Cafe Ullasa" the most. A nice pocket friendly cafe with amazing ambience & delicious food. It will cost you around INR 500 ( for 2 )
If you don't want to visit any tourist spot here, you can jut go for a nature walk here, amidst forest with exquisite views of hills.

You can also visit cantt area & Darwal Singh Regimental museum.This museum has collection of uniforms, arms and many rare photographs.
Another main attraction here is BHULLA LAKE a picnic spot, known for its calm atmosphere & boating facility.
