Day 1

Amidst all the hustle and bustle , I finally along with 5 friends of mine made my mind to take  an adventurous trip and what easily comes to your mind when we talk about adventure and peace? Yes, you got it right. It was a trip to rishikesh. Shortest and best way to spend your holidays which are lasting in 3-4 days. So I reside in Dhanbad and my friends were in Delhi , I reached delhi and at 11 pm on same day we boarded from our bus to haridwar as my friends were eager to watch ganga aarti at har ki pauri.

Day 2

We reached there dealing with one stopover by 4.30. ( Trust me , it was earlier than we expected to reach . Thanks to the driver ).
Stay was not an issue , We got to live in  a friend's flat. Clock struck 5.00 am and there we could easily hear the sadhu's chanting mantras , the bells ringing it was treat to ears ( It was all audible because the flat was very close to the ganga ghat )
After getting done with breakfast and freshning up , we took an auto to har ki pauri and reached there in 30 mins.
Har ki Pauri is a revered pilgrim site for Hindus and a holy landmark in Haridwar. Hindu priest offer aarti  to holy river during sunrise and sunset . We missed the sunrise aarti and hence had to wait for the sunset aarti which was to happen at 6.15 . We meanwhile planned for sight-seeing and roaming around..We decided to visit mansa devi temple and chandi devi temple and enjoyed the cable car rides, the view from there was stunning , the town was clearly visible . The hills , the water flowing , the sadhus , the serenity everything was just a bliss .
We somehow managed to roam around had some tea and samosa and what not. If you are a foodie , this place is going to make you happy.
At 6.15 we searched for a spot and sat to witness the aarti . The chants , the huge fire creates a positive environment and gives you energetic and positive vibes. I could feel it all. The crowd was singing ganga aarti , everyone in their own tune , it was amazing to see them. The aarti got over and we headed back to our place. The place provides for couples with some artistic poses. I have uploaded the same :P

Day 3

Due to some glitches we had to leave early for rishikesh , by early I mean sharp at 4. am. We took a bus and reached rishikesh in 1 hr. It was tooo early and I would not suggest anyone to reach that early if you have not booked any camping package online. It will be difficult for you as there won't be many camp options because the bookings start from 9.am. After roaming around in search of camps finally  a guy came across and we go to book Moonlight Camps & Resort which was 8km away from bus stand . Walking till the camp was tiring as it was a walk on hill because the camp was located amidst the mountains.
Moonlight Camp is an adorable camping site located at Shivpuri close to the gushing river, Ganga! Just 12 km away from the city of Rishikesh, the wonderful destination of "Moonlight Camp" is surrounded by lush green dense forest where one can feel the fresh air of mountains.

Day 4

Moonlight Camp is an adorable camping site located at Shivpuri close to the gushing river, Ganga! Just 12 km away from the city of Rishikesh, the wonderful destination of "Moonlight Camp" is surrounded by lush green dense forest where one can feel the fresh air of mountains.  The sunrise view from this camp was to die for. To get a lifetime experience one must definitely try staying at these camping sites. The person hosting us came to us to invite for breakfast and thereafter we went down the steep road to the rafting site. The scene was just mesmerising and treat to our eyes. Although it was not the season for rafting but still a little bit of crowd was visible. The water was ice-cold and the view was amazing. We took the 16 km rafting and with the guidance of the guy guiding us we safely ended our rafting in 2 hr , also after 9km we stopped by at maggi point . The maggi ofcourse was very tasty , everyone should surely go and stop by there. People were doing cliff jumping as well but I could not as I was already freezed. The rafting ended and we came back to our camps. Walking and dancing  . Also we were accompanied by this sweet dog. The dogs are very very friendly out there and people as well. We reached our camp , freshened ourselves and missed our lunch as we were late and after taking rest. At 5 had snacks . If you go to this camp make sure you visit a tea stall right next to it. It is owned by an old man and what a generous person he was . He had spent more than 50 years of his life living there and made mind blowing maggi for us. We had a conversation with him and trust me that man was worth the time we gave him. After getting back to our camp we sat around bon-fire and enjoyed ourselves to the extent we could and after dinner we headed back to bus-station as everyone had to get back to their respected workplaces. .We missed visiting Lakshman Jhula due to lack of time , but you should not miss it at any cost. It is one hell of a beauty and trip came to an end with memories to keep.
