We went to Koh Larn / Coral Island. You can book the tour from the nearest vendor a day in advance. They'll pick you at a fixed time in morning and then a boat takes you to the island. There you can enjoy the water sports at a negotiable price. Indian lunch is complimentary and included in your island fee. You're back to your place by evening. Again we took a walk to the walking street. You can go there daily if you have accommodation nearby and nothing else in mind. On the way, there is much to see & experience like massage parlours, food counters. And if you like sea food then there is nothing like that. You can have have variety n fresh picks as per your choice.
Sanctuary of Truth- As this was my second trip to the place, wanted to explore some new places as well. So pick this as my friend also had interest in it. It's beautiful at the corner of a sea. Made up of wood and beautiful carvings catch your eyes instantly. One thing to note - you should wear the clothes which are below knee and and not much revealing as there is Buddha inside. In case, you're wearing a short dress you can have a wrap around there with some security deposit which will be refunded once you are back and return it. On the way back, we went to gem factory and Jomtein beach. You can buy some silver jewellery from gem factory or if you're rich enough and like, can go for some expensive animal skin products like bags, purses etc. Jomtein is a place to sit back and relax. Since tourists usually visit Pattaya beach while there, Jomtein is much cleaner as compared to the former.
Since we had enough time and I wanted to go for Alcazar show as well as I had already seen Tiffany earlier also on my previous visit to the place, we could manage to go there. It's also a musical show but really beautiful and story based as compared to Tiffany now.
We checked out from the hotel in Pattaya and since we still had some places on our list, we left our luggage in the cloak room and went to floating market. On a single ticket, you are taken for a boat ride and dropped off for a while for a complimentary picture in their traditional attire, free head/shoulder massage, boxing show and then you're back on a different boat (boat on road actually). There you have an option of unlimited zipline. After that, we went to Tiger Park which is almost opposite to Floating market. There you can play with tigers. The smaller the tiger.. the higher the price you pay to spend time with; but it's fun.
After that we took a taxi for Bangkok. On the way, we stopped at the hotel and picked our luggage. Once reached Bangkok, we checked in to our hotel, got freshen up and immediately enquired for places we could go to. We got to know some club areas and decided to visit Khao San Road. It's really happening and we got the opportunity to meet & interact with people from different countries & cultures.
How can we forget shopping while in Bangkok? We started in morning and went for purchase of chocolates first as this is the thing you can gift to anyone. We quickly did it from MBK Mall. Then we were back to Indira Market which was near to our hotel and a nice place to shop; one can find anything there. After that, since we both are always ready to explore and roam around, we decided to go for party before we leave Bangkok. A day before, we were also told about Nana Plaza (specially for Indians / Indian music), we were confused where should we go - Khao San as we really liked the place or Nana Plaza. We decided that we'll leave from Nana Plaza if we don't like it but it was not an easy option as we had a very very less time now since we had early morning flight and we had to leave for airport as well in wee hours. We finalized Nana Plaza but as we expected we didn't find it happening and immediately decided to go to Khao San. Had a great time there again at the same place where an Aunty was a whole sole in charge; she was fun. After spending a couple of hours there, we were ready to say good bye to Bangkok.
We left the place to pick our bags from the hotel and headed to the airport.
One of my friend and I, both share a love for travel and have been on few trips together since last year.
It's been four months, when we went to Thailand. Though I had been there earlier but since she really wanted to go there and I also liked the place & wanted to go again I got ready.
We decided to visit Pattaya & Bangkok. Here I would like to highlight that as people think about these places, it's not the case. As it's our point of view to look at things, it's our point of view to look at places as well. We look for what we have interest in. So it's not only the skin show you can go for but many places which you may visit and make memories.
We reached Pattaya from Suvarnabhumi Airport by bus. We chose bus over taxi to make it economical. After reaching hotel, we got freshen up and decided to go to Tiffany show in evening - that is a musical stage performance by talented artists. Then we went to walking street - the place Pattaya is famous for. But I would like to mention though the place is popular for skin show, one can easily find people roaming around with family and kids as well. No one bothers you unnecessarily. We being two girls alone on that street caught some eyes from the people from our own country (who were also there on holiday, I guess) but local people don't make you uncomfortable. There are some bars/clubs with Indian music/DJ. You can sit and enjoy but yes one thing I got to know that there are tables in front for which you should avail the beer towers only (pints not allowed). And may be you should belong to a certain category of ladies/regular customers there. All in all it's good.
