One of the most magnificent monument I've ever visited is sanctuary of truth. As soon as I entered, the visuals were pretty dramatic, an absolute treat for the eyes. I could only see the roof of the structure against the blue sky, pristine ocean and green trees. It looked like a scene straight out of a fairytale, like a hybrid between a palace and a temple.
Sanctuary Of Truth is the finest example of the Thai craftsmanship. This entire structure is carved out of teak wood. It stands at 105 meters tall, in all its glory. The careful attention paid to the finesse and details in every corner left me mesmerized. I just stood in front of the structure for a while just processing the beauty in front of my eyes.
The entire place resonated the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It automatically brought a sense of peace and calm from within. I felt like I was transported to a whole different world in the Sanctuary of truth.
As an avid admirer of art, I noticed detailed carvings of elephants, people and scenes, creatures and deities from mythology. It pays tribute to the seven creators man cannot exist without: Heaven, Earth, Father, Mother, Moon, Sun and Stars.
Pattaya is so much more than the walking street. If you do plan a visit to Pattaya, definitely add Sanctuary Of Truth to your list and thank me later.
