Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world. Eiffel tower, notre dame are always the crowded places. We look like the line of ants from up above the Louvre. Yes, you heard it right. The largest museum of world is so huge and the crowd every single day summer or winter are like an elephant's tale. What's more worse than that? It's the curiosity of thousands of people which dies when you queue up hours together to watch the MonA Lisa Smile.
Yes Leonardo was a great painter and yes MonA Lisa painting is beautiful and worldly famous. But is it worth to wait for hours, sweating in midst of all the phones that click her from every angle and selfies to show that you got to see her?
I must say MonA Lisa is overrated. I want to appreciate an art and its not possible in the heat of April amongst sweaty tourists even after paying a good amount of money to enter the lovre. The painting in itself is not so big that people apart from may be 6ft can see from far. There are much more to see in louvre than wasting your precious time seeing her. That's not how I would see art. There are so many Italian paintings to French revolution art that are gigantic and sculptures that speak history and Egyption tombs and carvings that gives you more life.
So next time when you are in louvre, and you don't get to see MonA Lisa. Don't feel bad cos all you would have seen are thousands of selfies next to a mini painting and i would say that's not you paid your money for, isn't it?
