Pangot Uttrakhand, was another quick un-planned escape from the city. A small picturesque hamlet located just 15km from Nainital and easily accesable via well laid tarmac that goes thru some thick & dark forest area. Simply an advesture in itself :). The place is meant for bird lovers and photographers because of its un-explored beauty. Places to stay are readily available in Pangot or Sigdi which is 10km from Pangot and one would not wish to stay in Pangot, can stay in Nainital since its not that far.
