I believe all of us have friends group where we plan Goa trip. Many just remain as discussion, some go one step further from planning to dates discussion. Most of the Goa plans get dropped between inception and planning phase. Only few will make till execution mode.
Goa plans are always spontaneous, they are made over tea, dinner, or drink. This was also one of such plan. We were discussing about having family trip and all husbands started cribbing about taking leaves from office. So we decided to have girls trip to Goa.
I had been to many girls group in last 10 years and in all girls group we had planned Goa trip multiple time, but have never been to Goa actually. I thought this also will end up like all past Goa trip plans. But to my surprise, Goa whatsapp group was created in no time. We were 6 girls initially agreed for girls trip. Followed up by tea party in which we confirmed the dates and hotel and only 4 confirmed the trip out of 6 girls. I never knew that planning girls trip can be so easy and smooth. The plan was to go by bus and come back via flight.
I was little hesitant about going by bus as I never did long journey in bus. But my friend convinced that these are sleeper bus and very comfortable. So I agreed and booked the bus, flight and Hotel on the same day. So at the end 5 girls, including one gorgeous 6 month old baby were all set to have blasting Goa trip.
We did so so much planning for this Goa trip which includes what to wear on each day/night/mid night, what jewellery to wear, footwear, eyeglasses, hats, even Bikinies. Even we planned to match each and everything on special day/night . I bet every husband must be getting angry on this over planning but trust me this all paid off. 5 girls( actually 4, the little one can not dress-up on her own 🤭) used to spend less than 20 min to get ready, because we all already knew what to wear each day.
Finally we boarded overnight sleeper bus to Goa from Bangalore. All husbands came to see-off their wifes. Their expression were mixed, they must be planning their own enjoyment, but for sure they could not meet the fun we were going to have in Goa.
We were staying at south Goa, so we reached 2 hours before Panaji, and bus dropped us on the highway, at 5.30 AM. There were no houses, shops, people whom we can take help/ride. We found one uncle who was opening his tea stall, So we asked for taxi, he already had few contacts. Auto came in 5 min and we reached hotel in 15 min.
Stay - Hightide beach resort, Palolem
The is beach front resort. just 20 steps away from sea. The view of sea was treat for our eyes. After this - "What happens in Goa remains in Goa".
