My most recent train ride from Howrah to Bhubaneswar was just delicious. Travel is undoubtedly best friends with food, and when they work together, the journey is “yummylicious.”
Facilities in Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express
Recently I travelled by the Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express. Executive Class and AC Chair Car are the two classes available. In contrast to AC Chair Car, Executive Class is spacious. The chairs offer good comfort. Legs can be extended comfortably. It also features reading lights. The first item we received on the train after boarding was a newspaper. So you can effectively utilise the light.
In addition, the windows are enormous. It was a beautiful experience to see the sunset from this train. Keep in mind that this train only offers seating.
Catering services in Howrah–Puri Shatabdi Express
When it comes to the catering services, I have to say that I had a good time. Do not presume that special cuisine will be served to you. It is a regular meal. Having said that, the food was tasty and of good quality. Please be aware that you will need to make your own tea and soup. Just the ingredients will be given to you.
The way they planned the meals was what I loved the most. First, tea was served with a variety of snacks, including sandwiches, nuts, and Khasta Kochuri. We received soup in the evening along with breadsticks and butter. I chose a vegetarian menu for dinner, which included rice, daal, paneer, chapatti, pickle, and curd. For dessert, we had ice cream. The staff personnel were courteous and helped passengers who needed assistance making tea.
Guess what? Executive class travel was not on the itinerary. Due to the lack of AC Chair Car tickets, I ended up there.
Well, who would complain after this experience?
