If you're coming to Odisha anytime soon, then you must visit the rock-cut caves of Udaygiri & Khandagiri. Nestled away from the city center, both these archaeological sites hold immense cultural and religious values.

On my recent trip to Udaygiri caves, I spotted ancient inscriptions written on the panels of 'Hathi-Gumpha' that left me awestruck for a few moments. It's a must-see place for all the history buffs and travelers who find solace in exploring the less-explored. From centuries, It's been believed that the caves were built by the Jain Monks to practice their rituals.
