Having studied the World War II in detail, I wanted to visit Poland. Admire the courage of the people there who have been through so much. Even though the town center and the Jewish part of the city are replete with historical evidence, there is another facet ad well. The city is coming up as a economic destination as well. The dark history of WWII is preserved here for everyone to see and learn. A visit to the holocaust memorial makes one understand that war leads to sorrow and pain and nothing else. On the other side when you water through Oscar Schindler's factory you know what a true hero is. We also did a day tour to Aushwitz and BIrkenau, the infamous concentration camps.
There are many ways to reach Krakow, it is well connected by Train, Bus and Air. We went via train from Czech Republic.
