"In this world, there is something for everyone;
You just need to seek what's yours!"

You can climb a mountain or stroll around nature throughout the year. Every season has its own share of adventures and excitements. But out of all, do you want to know why and how does Monsoon top the list? And what makes it so special?
As the scorching heat of the summer starts fading, the rains welcome the cool, watery, slippery trails and the mountains turn lush by all shades of saturated greens! All the plateaus, fields, hills, freshly bloomed flowers, widely stretched lakes and monsoon creatures are drenched in the rain showers, making it the best possible scenic getaway and an escape from the everyday city bustle to explore the pristine verdant hills in all their glory and to soak ourselves right within.
Having done plenty of monsoon treks in the Western Ghats, I can assure you that it is one of the best seasons to immerse yourself into!
Now imagine, a couple of feet above sea level, on a remote hill, you are sitting on the top of a rock, your palms touch its surface - it's wet and cold. Rain Gods haven't stopped since a couple of hours, you are now completely soaked in the lashing rain, inhaling the most crisp air that fills your lungs with the smell of the Earth.
You see above you, the passing misty cotton-wool clouds - you so wish to hold them! Below, you search for the trail that leads you up to the rock, which by now is covered from the towering green trees and bushes. Around, you see the dewy grass, leaves and plants waving at you in sync with the blowing winds. And in front, your eyes are now stuck onto the panoramic visual which not only makes you fathom the breathtaking view but you also sense your heart smiling like never before! Meanwhile, your ears haven't stopped listening to the beats of the rushing water from the passing stream below and the wild winds! You close your raindrop eyes and feel your face becoming fresh and radiant!
What if I tell you, that this is exactly how (or maybe even better) the monsoons and the nature would treat you after you march upon muddy trails, surpass the giant leaves that come your way, cross a few not-so-shallow streams, attentively climb on some unusual slippery steps and count your breaths midway.
And after the rains have slowed down, the grey clouds start clearing up, making way for the Sun to throw some shine on the land. Coming out from this natural shower, your skin now feels cool, damp and dry. But oh, wait, if you are lucky enough, look above to witness the magical formation of a perfectly curved rainbow!
Being surrounded by these natural elements of the Earth, you yourself can feel the pleasant shift in your mind. A soothing calmness that satisfies your heart and your body which is now tired yet rejuvenated!
These may be just a handful of innate experiences shared, but what the world inherits is in abundance! Connecting yourself with the outdoors, learning to accept the challenges, to keep moving forward, overcoming and conquering your inhibitions is all what you get to experience - raw and at its best!
Putting all of this under one frame, monsoon tops my list for it offers me with a lot more wondrous moments and memories!!
P.S. UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE CURRENT PANDEMIC SITUATION, TRAVELLING TO THE REMOTE VILLAGES OF RESPECTIVE TREKS NEEDS TO BE FORBIDDEN.
US GOING INTO THE NATURE HAS ONLY PAUSED.
LET THE PAST MEMORIES AND THE EXCITEMENT STAY INTACT UNTIL IT IS SAFE TO VENTURE OUT LIKE BEFORE!
