My friend and I really wanted to visit the Princess Diana exhibit aboard the Queen Mary. Since it was off-season, we got a great rate for a room on the ship and a package for the exhibit and afternoon tea as well. There is so much to explore on the Queen Mary and right in the area! We also visited the Scorpion submarine that is right next to the ship and the SS Lane Victory in San Pedro (got tickets on Groupon).

Great little place to stop for ice cream, look at the boats and lighthouse, and do some souvenir trolling at some of the more unique stores. The pirate store here is my absolute fave.
Great food and service. Supposedly haunted. Really nice lobster bisque and lobster ravioli. Wonderful desserts.
If you can, check out the Diana Legacy of a Princess exhibit. So much royal history here and a lot of great pieces in the exhibit. Get the tea package if you go, afternoon tea is a perfect way to round out the experience!
