Really short family visit to New York. We usually don't do anything seriously touristy when we're in town so we tried a couple this time! We tried one of the big hop on hop off bus tours and it was a pretty great deal; under $70 for 72 hours with multiple routes. Easy way to get around! We also attended a Broadway play for the first time taking in Of Mice and Men. Wonderful show!
I'd never been here before which I thought was weird since I've been to NYC so many times. The view really is great, even on a cold/cloudy/windy day.
Nice Cuban spot that serves my fave dishes. Heard it stays consistently busy so book a reservation. A bit loud but fun atmosphere.
This is probably the ONLY place I make a point to visit every time I come to New York. It really is one of the most gorgeous parks. Great views from the random rocks.
These are some of the best macarons I've ever had. Nice little shop; they're pricey but they stay fresh longer than most.
I so badly wanted this to be a perfect experience since afternoon tea here was a mother's day present for my mom. While the food and ambiance were lovely, the service; unfortunately, was severely lacking. I've heard this is a bit of a rarity though so hopefully our next experience will be much better.
Not sure why but I really love this hotel. It's got a really good location on the Upper West Side and isn't too far from anything. Two blocks to Central Park. Cool atmosphere.
I didn't think gourmet marshmallows would be good but OMG. Got a Groupon so we had a bunch of sweet snacks for the room. Devoured the petit fours in minutes. So good.
Great selection, really crowded, reasonable prices. This might end up being my new fave big deli since they closed my beloved Stage.
While Katz's might be my new fave big deli, Sable's is probably going to be my go-to for hot tongue sandwiches. It's a smaller deli on the Upper East Side, but the food and service are really really good!!!
This place is really great. Quite expensive especially for breakfast but the Eggs Norwegian are wonderful. Great place for a fancy schmancy breakfast.
Nice smaller theatre. Came here for Of Mice and Men and the view from the balcony was perfect. Ticket prices weren't outrageous and the stage door is really accessible if you're looking to get your playbill signed after the show.
No it's not the best garden ever but for a nice walk outside Manhattan, it's quite pretty. The cherry blossoms had bloomed so we had a nice stroll here; not expensive to get in.
The reflecting pools make a really nice touching memorial. There is no charge to get into the memorial, consider reserving tickets online though if you want to avoid long lines at the ticket site. Security is VERY long so be prepared to wait a while.
