Fin Del Mundo

Tripoto

I remember this one conversation vividly when I was traveling in Thailand a few years ago and I met a guy from Chile. He spoke about the country so highly and was showing on the map and to be honest that was the first time I noticed Chile on the world map and I told him I would go to this country and ride from the north to the south.

He said it's not going to be that easy and the country looks small on the maps but it is extremely big and so much to do.

The innocence took over me and I said I will spend 3 or 4 months and do it all! .

I remember his final words "if you make it all the way to Chile on a motorcycle, make sure you do Patagonia" .

Thus began the Patagonian dream! Almost a year ago when I left for South America, things were looking so bad that I didn't even know if I would get out of New York! .

Fast Forward 360 odd days later here I am in Carretera Austral in Patagonia. .

Life changes over night, miracles happen, dreams do come true and if you are ever looking for an example I am right here for all of that.

As a ride through the carretera austral I am connecting to the very reason why I began this journey in the first place.

Months have passed in front of my eyes like days and so much has happened. I constantly get requested to write a book but I really don't know where to begin to tell this magical story.

For now I can begin with thanking the universe and hit the roads and go with the flow and just somewhere looking at the vastness of the world spellbound, speechless and lost.

A journey that started without any direction has taken many turns on its own and here I am holding on to it and riding the wave.

Many more rainy days ahead but I am sure the sun will shine bright on me

It's a surreal feeling to make it to Patagoina but standing in front of the Fin Del Mundo sign and wrapping up the trip is something amazing! It's a relief and I feel happy to have made it all the way here in one piece.

The stories will be told and retold for years to come!

For time it's time for some yummy dinner as I restart my day tomorrow with one last service which is nothing major just need to fix the brake lever and change the air filter and oil change with my last set of cans of Castrol so I can hand over the bike to the next owner and catch my flight to Brazil where I am surprising a very dear friend.

I also hear this town is the gateway to Antarctica so I wont mind going and checking it out but it looks like a super expensive affair. Let me just take one good night's sleep for now and see how tomorrow my last day with the bike turns out.
