Delhi has a plethora of monuments in almost every square km radius - some abandoned while some are well maintained and running in full swing. And we all have every now and then visited them during the daytime. But when it comes to exploring them at night we either need a drone to grab their view or can only manage their glimpse from the roads or flyovers, highways and if you're lucky enough then maybe from your friend's terrace too.
And this was the case until September last year when Delhi government decided to initiate night tourism in Delhi. The first monument being the Safdarjung tomb followed by The Quintessential Qutab. The cities of Rajasthan has already been practicing it from a long time - my photography experience there had been phenomenal.
Hence I visited the Qutab in the second week of February to try my hands on some long exposures of Qutab.
Things to keep in mind for the visit :
• Make sure you have an active UPI ID for buying online tickets as the ticket window is closed during night hours.
• Active phonepe or Paytm ids. I used phonepe.
• Tripods aren't allowed in the premises. But you can smuggle a small size tripod in the bag. Make sure you put it in the unreachable section of your camera bag.
• Parking is available or you can use metro too.
• Make sure you abstain yourself from using any continuous light source and drawing unwanted attention.
Ticket price : 70 INR (camera included)
