Kilimanjaro Series (Part- 1)

First of the seven Volcanic summit expedition- Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The journey starts.

It is a morning flight to Delhi. Last minute packing is always cumbersome. However early you start packing, the last-minute appendices are always a pinch of salt to the packing.

You always have an apprehensive feeling. You suddenly become superstitious. However, at the end you are the most relaxed.

Things went smoothly. At Delhi there is a normal waiting period of 4hrs. But as the flight from Kolkata reached early by half an hour and the flight to Nairobi was delayed by 1 hr, the waiting period increased.

In Nairobi, I already booked a studio apartment thru Airbnb. The host, Mr Jerim, assured me of giving an airport pickup. A bit relaxed.

It's a 7-hr. journey from Delhi to Nairobi. A young chap sitting beside was from Nairobi. He gave good details on different national parks and the places to visit. But one thing he told which worried me. I booked an apartment in Embakasi. He told, be careful.... It's not a good place. Don't get out of the house at night.
