Humayun's Tomb in Delhi is a Historical monument from the Mughal Period. Built for the second Mughal Emperor by his Son Akbar, this was the first Garden style tomb in the Indian sub continent. This monument built almost 60 years before The Taj Mahal, is considered to be its draft.

So, basically, what I understood from my recent trips to Itmad-Ud-Daula's tomb in Agra (built between 1622 and 1628) and Humayun' Tomb in Delhi (built between 1565 and 1572), both have inspired the Taj Mahal (Built between 1632 and 1653)... One had inspired the structure and the other has inspired the decoration.
