1. Lajpat Nagar Metro Station
Distance from the metro station: 250 metres
What to do here: Start your day with breakfast at the iconic Anna Ka Dosa in Lajpat Nagar. Get your fill of delicious dosas and then make your way to the Lajpat Nagar metro station to start your Delhi exploration.
You could hang out in Lajpat Nagar market for a bit and explore the home decor section there. You can get everything from carpets and curtains to crystal decors and bathroom furnishings.
2. INA Metro Station
Distance from the metro station: 400 metres
What to do here: Spend a few hours looking at and shopping for beautiful artefacts from different Indian states. When you get tired, stop for quick mid-day snack at one of the many state food houses; Nagaland house is a personal favourite for pork momos.
3. Sarojini Nagar Metro Station
Distance from the metro station: 450 metres
What to do here: Stop here to grab great outfits and accessories at throwaway prices. After spending some moolah at Dilli Haat, this will come as a refreshing break where you can find fashion steals at unmatched prices.
4. Sir Vishweshwaraiah Moti Bagh Metro Station
Distance from the metro station: 1.1 km
What to do here: Make a quick stop at the Gurudwara to offer your prayers and learn a little more about the history of Sikhs. And don't forget the kadha prasad.
5. Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus Metro Station
Distance from the metro station: 300 metres
What to do here: Stop here for lunch. Located right to some of the most popular colleges in South Campus, the Satyaniketan market is a hub for inexpensive street food and fast food joints. Big Yellow Door, Bandits, and Kahuna Lounge among others make for great lunch spots.
6. Rajouri Garden
Distance from the metro station: 500 metres
What to do here: Shop till you drop! Besides being known for wedding and ethnic wear, Rajouri Garden market is also quite famous for getting your hands on some of the best party outfits, jewellery, bags and shoes. You will have to look through a number of shops to find what you're looking for but the effort is worth it. End your shopping spree with a quick snack at Atul Chaat Bhandar.
7. Punjabi Bagh
Distance from the metro station: 1km
What to do here: Head to one of the many clubs for a wild night of partying and dancing. The food is great too. Ask some of your friends to tag along and make this a night to remember.
8. Netaji Subhash Place Metro Station
Distance from the metro station: 500 metres
What to do here: End your day by indulging in something sweet from one of the many outlets at Netaji Subhash place. You could get waffles, hot chocolate fudge, ice-cream Sundays or even something Indian like gulab jamun and rasmalai.
