In my early days of trekking I was always looking for short Himalayan treks to try my hand at alpine style trekking. One such trek that got my attention was Bhrigu Lake trek, a hidden gem in the mountains surrounding Manali.
This time I was trekking with my brother and we core alpine style trekking by not staying in any hotels. We were carrying our own camping and cooking gear and since the trail is well defined we didn't hire a guide for the trek.
The trek starts from a hairpin bend near Gulaba. You can reach that point by local bus or hire a cab.
The exact list of items and cost breakdown is mentioned below.
Our first evening on this trail and we were welcomed by this mesmerising view of the sky with horses grazing near our campsite.
The trail offered beautiful views of the valley and mountain peaks on the opposite side.
Here's me enjoying the views of clouds and epic mountains while moving up the trail.
Our campsite offered some of the most surreal evening views with different colors of mountains, clouds and the setting sun.
Since the trek has pretty defined route with the trail moving up on just one side of the mountain. We were constantly witnessing beautiful views of peaks on the opposite side.
That feeling of accomplishment when you reach a mountain top.
Here's the list of items and cost breakdown with some of my favourite photos from this beautiful place.
