This walking tour will take you back centuries as you explore the traditions, culture and lifestyle of people while visiting some known yet some not so known monuments of Old Delhi. You will also explore the markets and food of Old Delhi. We will meet you at the famous Digambar Jain Temple opposite Red Fort to begin our incredible Old Delhi experience together. We then move forward to Chandni Chowk, one of the most important streets of Old Delhi which is also a great example of secularism of India. As we move ahead on this moonlight square (Chandni Chowk) we will visit various important shrines of different religions like the Gauri Shankar Temple, Baptist Church, Sisganj Gurudwara, Sunehri Masjid which exist on one road. We then make our way through some of the famous markets of Old Delhi like Dariba Kalan (Silver market), Kinari Bazaar (Wedding market), Meena Bazaar, foodies delight – Matia Mahal. Along the way we sample different flavours of food till we reach the Largest Mosque in India Jama Masjid. The narrow lanes then further lead us to some other known and some not so known places in Old Delhi like Razia Sultan’s Tomb, Kalan Masjid, Haksar Haveli till we reach our 150 year old Haveli (Mansion), where we see the preserved Mughal architecture and a series of old photographs showcasing the history of Delhi up till 1857. Then we have a traditional Indian Brunch at the Haveli and after that we finally part our ways at Chawri Bazaar Chowk.
