Plan: Fly to Kathmandu. Explore a few places.
We flew by Nepal Airlines from Delhi to Kathmandu. We wanted to reach in the morning half so that we can explore Kathmandu a bit. Reached well in time and checked in to Hotel Arts at Thamel.
Thamel is the heart of Kathmandu. It's packed with pubs, cafes, shops and always crowded with tourist. One would definitely love the hustle of this part of the city and can never get bored of it.
Since, we had the second half of the day we visited the Narayanhity Palace museum and the garden of dreams. Both these places are just a few minutes walk from Thamel and are really interesting.
As it was our anniversary, we had a nice cosy dinner at the "Northfield cafe and the Jesse James bar" enjoying some local music.

Plan: To visit all the historical and religious sites
The first place we visited was the Pashupatinath Temple. Though it was super crowded, a local person helped us skip all the queues.
Next we went to the Durbar square- a must visit. This old town square has a lot to offer and tells a lot about the kings, their beliefs, how they use to rule and live. A marvel for architecture lovers.
Excited we went to the Patan Durbar square, another old town centre of the Malla kings. Spectacular architecture and unique buildings amazed us. Ohhhh! we also visited the Boudhanath.
It was already 1 pm and we were definitely hungry. Went to a cute cafe at Patan Durbar square area and hogged some momos with beer.
Our final destination for the day was Bhaktapur. The durbar square here is a bit different. Bhaktapur was the original capital of Nepal. We suggest to take a guide to know more about each and every building.
Finally, we drove to Nagarkot. We really had to hurry as we didn't want to miss the sunset. Luckily we reached in time and hurried straight to the viewing point. Never in our lives, we saw such a beautiful sight.

Plan: See the sunrise at Nagarkot, drive to Pokhara.
We got up pretty early, around 5:45 AM for the sunrise. We stayed at the Himalayan villa hotel. The hotel is famous for its viewing deck from where one can see the sunrise and also the have a look at Mount Everest. We were lucky enough to have a clear sky to enjoy the sunrise.
After a sumptuous breakfast we drove to Pokhara. On our way we visited the Mannakamana temple and enjoyed the thrilling cable ride

Plan: Pokhara site seeing.
As it was a rainy day, we couldn't see the sunrise here. We went to a temple in the morning and the did some shopping.
The best place to stay and hangout is the lake side street in Pokhara. The street reminded me of Krabi. Just replace Aonang with the lake here, it's all the same.
In the afternoon we visited the devis fall and Gupteshwar Mahadev cave.
Finally, we ended our Pokhara tour with a beautiful boat ride in the Phewalake .

Plan: Drive back to Kathmandu and fly back to Delhi.
