Basantapur is a Village Development Committee in Baitadi District in the Mahakali Zone of western Nepal. To reach here we have traveled in a local bus service it took almost 4.5 hours to reach this village the road is terrible sometimes you feel like you are in a boat traveling through the ocean. The roads are in construction process. This is a small village from where we decided to start our trek as from the previous information we gathered before we planned for this route after reaching the village we took information for the next day trek about the road and how much time it will take unfortunately recently bus services has been started in this route upto Chainpur as the road condition is a night mere but it is also an adventure. So that day we stayed in that village. On the next day we decided to take the bus service upto Chainpur and from their we will start our trek.
Chainpur is a municipality in Sankhuwasabha District in the Kosi Zone of north-eastern Nepal. It was formed by merging five villages i.e. Chainpur, Siddhakali, Siddhapokhari, Baneshwar and Kharang. The municipality was implemented on 18 May 2014. Chainpur is an ancient market place of the eastern region of Nepal. It has been famous for hundreds of years for karuwa, a special kind of water mug with pipe tap sculptured with artistic carving on exterior of it.It used to be district headquarters of Sankhuwasabha before it was shifted to Khandbari. Chainpur is famous for making Khukuri. This is neat and clean market well organised shops. variety of local & traditional items can be found here.
Siddhapokhari is market center in Chainpur Municipality of Sankhuwasabha District in the Kosi Zone of north-eastern Nepal. A big local market mainly for vegetables completely organic, fresh and lively. Local people can be seen in their local traditional attire which is very colorful. Early in the morning this market can be seen once your reach Siddha Pokhari and stay over night in a cosy homestay. Local peoples are very good at heart and will help you in every step of your travel to make it memorable.
This "Rai Shak" is a local vegetable found in every house in Nepal. its a delicacy when you cook it with a Pork meat. It is Delecious, people who have once taken it with a pork meat they will never forget the taste and will demand more and more.
This trek from Chainpur to Siddha Pokhari took almost 4.5 hours. Its a gradual trek. Road construction are in process upto Sidhha Pokhari. Team members are on their way to Siddha Pokhari. Very Hot and sunny day.
A morning view from Gufa Pokhari. As you reached Gufa Pokhari all the pains are gone. a view which can mesmerize everything. A peaceful place with beautiful souls. only few house hold are there. Homestays are also available at affordable rates.
On the next morning our trek started after a completely relaxed day at Gufa Pokhari. Today our destination is Sangu a small village in TMJ via Milke Danda. A 7-8 hrs trek. Long and treacherous.
A selfie time with a Water Fall background. Starting from Siddha Pokhari towards NunDhaki this water fall will come on the way to upper Nun Dhaki. It will take 5 hrs approx to reach upper Nun Dhaki. Its a treacherous route. But will have to enjoy seeing the beauty of the nature it provides.

Gupha Pokhari is a natural pond situated at the height of 2,890 metres (9,480 ft) above the sea levels situated in Gufa VDC of Sankhuwasabha District of Nepal. This lake is also a holy pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The name "Gupha Pokhari", which means Cave Pond, is a new name given to this in the 20th century, by priests who were believed to meditate in the caves around the hills of this area and gave it its new name. Previously, it was called "Siddha Marga" Pokhari. Locals believe that this pond grants your wishes, similar to the Manakamana Temple in Gorkha.
Guphapokhari is one of the most popular destinations in the Tinjure Milke Jaljale Trail, which is known as the "Rhododendron capital of Nepal". This region has the highest number of Rhododendron Species, 28 out of 32 found in Nepal.[2] There are also many other flowers and plants, species of birds, species of mammal and views of Makalu, Kangchenjunga and Mt. Everest on a clear day.
Gufa Pokhari is popular tourist destination. The best time to visit Gufa Pokhari is February-May. If someone wish to play with snow then one can visit there in winter (November-December).
Mt. Chamlang E and Mt. Everest Can also be seen from here as the weather clears up. a view which every one wants to remember.

This lake is called Lamo Pokhari in local language means long lake. this can be seen enroute Sangu Village by the side of the road.
