Your valuable feedback on my previous blog has given me motivation to pendown another trip.
It was my birthday and we planned for a day trip to Neemrana. Neemrana is located about 130 kms from Delhi, It’s on Delhi – Jaipur Highway (NH-8). This place is mainly famous for the fort which was built in 1464.
Neemrana has more places to explore than we think.
Lets Start our Journey with a new energy and smile.
Duration of the Trip – 1 Day
Mode of Travel – Bike
Cost of the entire trip – INR 700 per person
Travel Route – Gurgaon – Manesar - Neemrana - Gurgaon
We left for Neemrana on 2 bikes at 12:00 P.M. It was a good sunny day of December with heavy traffic on road. It looks like that everyone wants to go away from the hussle of city. We crossed the Manesar Toll and stopped on a Dhaba for lunch break. I prefer Dhaba over restaurant while riding on highways. We had Dal Makhni with Tandoori Roti, the taste was good enough to satisfy our hunger.
It takes us around 2.5 hours to reach Neemrana including the lunch break and we decided to firstly have a look of Neemrana Fort. Neemrana Fort is now converted into a 5 star hotel providing a royal hospitality for the tourists since 1991. Descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III has constructed this Fort.
We managed to reach the famous fort of Neemrana by asking the directions from the locals as there was no massive sign board for the fort. Road to the fort was narrow and full of pathholes.
We parked our bikes in Parking lot with a sign of “Park at your own Risk”. We reached to the guard and heard a awful news from him that there is a marriage function in fort and the fort is booked so no tourist is allowed to enter the fort. It was a dreadful information to us as we left with nothing to do in Neemrana.
I planned this trip to make my Birthday memorable with my friends but that seems to be wipe out.
We had the glimpse of the fort from outside only and got back to our bikes with no hope. There are many handicrafts shops outside the fort we stopped on one of them there was an aged uncle we asked him if there is any place to visit in Neemrana. He told us about the old Baori and a Shiv Temple on hill top.
We asked him about the direction and left with a thanks to him. We reached to the suburbs of the town. We were eagerly waiting to run down through broken stairs of this historic Baori as this is the only hope we had.
Finally, we reached our destination "Historical Baori of Neemrana". It is a 9-storeyed underground stepwell in a deserted place which is open for all the visitors without any entry fee. It is a clear example of magnificient work of architecture of Rajputana dynasty.
We have to step down more than 200 steps to reach the lower level of the Baori. Condition of Baori from inside was not so good. There was trash everywhere. Walls were marked with couple names.
We spend a lot of time there and clicked many pictures from our phone.
We pumped our bike again for our next destination that is Shiv Mandir on hilltop.
Broken and very narrow road filled with stones was leading us to the Shiva temple. On the way we saw some people were running and some people were doing yoga.
As we were moving upwards, the weather was changing its mood and now cold winds started blowing. We stopped in the middle and created a lot of memories with our gadgets.
We reached a mountain from where a 360 degree view was visible. The view was so mesmerizing that made us to capture it. It was so peaceful and prepossessing that even pictures can not justify its beauty. We stayed there for one hour.
It was almost past 5 in the evening and due to the month of December, it started getting dark. We had to cancel the plan to go to Shiva temple and return back.

This place is far away from the eyes of tourists, because this is a deserted location and I would say that we too should maintain the value of this place.
Do not spread filthiness on any tourist place, nor should allow any person to do it, because if we will not take care of these ancient heritage places than our future generations will be left with nothing to proud off.
