We arrived at Nagpur Airport by 8 am in morning where our driver was waiting for pickup. He took us to a nice breakfast place which was midway from Nagpur to Pench. Had nice Tari Poha, one of famous delicacies of Nagpur.
We reached our resort by 11 am. Our room was ready, we had our safari booked already for afternoon by 2.30 PM. We relaxed for a while, had our yummy homely style lunch and got ready for our first Safari.
We reached this gate on time by 2.30 pm and boarded our Gypsy for Safari. It was a huge area we had to cover searching for Tiger and Tigress. We managed to spot the Tiger towards end of our Safari, but we were able to see Deers, Wild Boar, Bison and lots of birds during our Safari.
Our guide also made sure we understood how animals call each other and help their friends stay away from Tiger. Some of our spotting below:
Since it was a long day and we had to go for early morning Safari, we had dinner and retired for the day.
We were set and ready for morning Safari. Our resort had provided us with packed breakfast kept in Gypsy. Here the forest authorities assign different routes to each vehicles so that is no traffic in Jungle. Today our safari was from 6am to 11.00 am. Again lots of area to cover to spot Leopard, Black Panther and Tigers.
Unfortunately we could not spot anyone except Jackal and Wild Boars. But we had a nice breakfast in middle of Jungle and enjoyed the fresh air of Jungle early morning.
After returning back we did some souvenir shopping from a government approved store inside Turia gate and also some roadside stalls. We had our last safai booked in afternoon for which we had 3 hours to relax, have lunch and get ready.
We started for our last safari in Buffer zone. This was at Teliya gate. Again the safari was from 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm. In this safari as well we spotted Glimpse of Tiger and leopard. We could not capture them in our camera.
We returned back to our homely room, had dinner and retired for the day knowing we do not have to get up early morning.
We had our breakfast and started for Nagpur. We had booked our stay at Tulli International. Before reaching there we managed to visit Deekshabhoomi, Tekdi Ganesh Mandir and Zero Mile Stone.
Post lunch and an afternoon nap, we decided to go to one of many lakes in Nagpur. But since it was weekday and early sunset days of winter, there was no one else apart for 3 of us at lake, so we returned back and went to Haldirams for some snacks and sweet shopping.
We all took famous Santra Barfi for our families at home.
Day 4 was our departure day, but we had our morning and afternoon time with us. So we decided to go to newly constructed Gorewada Safari which is in outskirts of Nagpur. But you get ola or uber cabs to reach there and also to return back.
They have animals kept in open enclosures which are easy to spot. We saw beer, white deers and ofcourse Tiger.
Had a quick snack there and we started for airport
We departed with lots of knowledge on wildlife, patience, best season to go wildlife spotting and lots of girly gossips and memories.
