Left for Nagpur from Mumbai by evening train(Duronto Express). It took around 12 hrs to reach Nagpur.
Reached early in the morning at Nagpur Railway Station, checked in to a hotel and got myself cleaned up. Rented a cab and left for local sightseeing. Visited Deekshabhoomi and afterwards headed towards Tadoba National Park, It was around 4 hrs drive. The roads are in good condition. I had booked the Forest Department Guest House for my stay. There are many other options available there - MTDC and Private Hotels. But, be sure to book them before hand. Consumption and Cooking of NON-VEG is strictly prohibited in hotels of National Park region.
Next day went for an early morning Jeep Safari. There are multiple gates for entering the National park. Tourists have to make the bookings for their Jungle Safari through National Park Portal. I booked my safari for Agarzardi Gate. The region through this gate has the maximum number of Tigers - 13 Nos. The experience of the safari was good, but couldn't spot any tigers. Although, spotted many other wild animals - Spotted Deer, Wild Bison, Nil Gai. That evening went for another safari, but this time tried my luck through another gate. This time also no sighting. Since, it was evening time, got the opportunity to see some migratory birds chilling around the lake.
Went to the same Agarzardi Gate for my next safari. It is often said "Third Time's a Lucky Charm." Spotted a Mother Tiger along with her 3 kids crossing the road. This sighting made my day and honestly speaking this is the first time ever I have seen Tigers roaming around in their Natural Habitat.
After the Safari, returned to Nagpur to catch my flight back to home. On the way to airport, did some shopping for famous "Orange Burfi" at a Haldiram Store.
NOTE - In Tadoba National Park, JIO and BSNL will work properly. Not sure about the others.
