I have been there in kohima when the Hornbill festival' was on basically this festival brings the joy and a lot of happiness and energy as well to all of the tribes living there.This was really very different experience of life...the functions and the games by different tribes were really very amazing and original.Everything were being reminded like their culture, lifestyle and tradition.One must attend this festival.This festival held every year 1-10 Dec in Kohima,Nagaland.
And apart from this kohima city is very beautiful and before visiting kohima just some of the points you must note that you've to pre book the hotels there specially in Hornbill season you must book your hotel before a month.And the food there is not bad but very confusing so better you get some veg restaurant and try to have your dinner before 6pm because sunset used to be very early there that's why most of the shops used to be closed by 7pm.Dimapur is the biggest city of Nagaland and there you can find Railway Station and Airport.From Dimapur it takes around 3-4 hours to reach kohima.Book a cab that will cost around ₹1700 will reach your destination.
