Dhanaulti is a hill station situated just above Musoorie in the foothills of Garhwal Himalayan Range. It is known for the Eco park and the stupendous area which is always covered by clouds. So in case you have not visited this gem of a place this should be in your to do list.
We started from Delhi as early as 4 AM in the morning and got clean and fast roads till Dehradun. Then without taking a break reached Musoorie and decided to continue the journey till Dhanaulti only.
We reached Dhanaulti by 3.30 PM in between just took a lunch break at Dehradun. We went to see the most famous Eco parks Amber and Dhara both being developed by forest department of Utrakhand. What we witness was magical clouds kissing us all over. The Deodar trees were making the ambience real magical. The clouds kissing the our face was amazing in itself :)
The adventure sports facility is available for people in the form of walking over the flying fox, burma bridges and riding horses. There is also a facility for visitors to plant a sapling of tree species in the memory of their beloved, which is called as memory sapling plantation which is a very different and innovative idea.
We stayed there till about 5.30 PM, took photographs and enjoyed the beauty of nature. If you are an adventure seeker you can also opt for various treks till Surkanda Devi Temple.
One of the best trips to do if you are anywhere close to either dehradun, musoorie or rishikesh :) You will end up being really happy.
